How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account at any time by following these steps:
- Log in to your Eateio account.
- Go to My Account.
- Click "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm your password and submit the deletion request.
Alternatively, you can request account deletion by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and the email address associated with your account.
What Data Is Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Personal information — Name, email address, phone number, password, and any business or banking details.
- Reviews — All reviews you have submitted, including any uploaded photos.
- Device tokens — Push notification tokens used for mobile app notifications.
- Upcoming bookings — Any pending future reservations are automatically cancelled.
- Restaurant listings — If you are a restaurant owner, your listings will be deactivated.
What Data Is Retained
Certain records are retained in anonymized form for legal and operational purposes:
- Past booking records — Historical reservation data is kept in anonymized form (no personal details) for restaurant reporting and tax compliance.
- Invoices and financial records — Retained as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations.
Deletion Timeline
Account deletion is processed immediately upon confirmation. Your personal data is removed right away. Anonymized records retained for legal purposes are kept for the minimum period required by law.
