1. Introduction
Welcome to Eateio ("we", "our", "us"). By accessing or using our website at eateio.com and the services we provide (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our platform.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, guests, and restaurant partners who access or use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have legal parental or guardian consent, to use our services. By using Eateio, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information.
- Maintain and promptly update your account information.
- Keep your password secure and confidential.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Restaurant Partners
Restaurant owners who list their venues on Eateio ("Restaurant Partners") agree to the following additional terms:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information about their establishment, including opening hours, menu details, and seating capacity.
- Honour confirmed reservations made through the platform.
- Maintain appropriate professional standards and comply with all applicable local laws, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
- Pay any applicable cover charges or commission fees as agreed at the time of registration or as subsequently notified.
5. Reservations and Bookings
Eateio provides an online reservation platform that connects guests with restaurants. When a guest makes a reservation:
- The reservation is a direct agreement between the guest and the restaurant.
- Eateio acts solely as an intermediary facilitating the booking.
- Eateio does not guarantee the availability, quality, or suitability of any restaurant or dining experience.
- Guests are responsible for arriving on time. Restaurants may release a reserved table if guests are significantly late without prior notice.
6. Cancellations and No-Shows
Guests are encouraged to cancel bookings at least 2 hours before the reservation time if they are unable to attend. Repeated no-shows may result in restrictions on a user's ability to make future bookings. Restaurants may apply their own cancellation and no-show policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
7. Cover Charges and Payments
Some restaurants may apply a small per-guest cover charge to confirmed reservations. This charge, if applicable, will be clearly displayed before a booking is finalised. Cover charges are processed and remitted to the relevant restaurant in accordance with our payout schedule. Eateio does not act as a retailer or reseller of restaurant services.
8. Reviews
Users may post reviews of their dining experiences on Eateio. By submitting a review, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display the review on our platform. You agree that your review:
- Is based on a genuine, first-hand dining experience.
- Is honest, accurate, and not misleading.
- Does not contain defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate content.
- Does not infringe any third-party rights.
Restaurant partners may choose whether to display or hide reviews on their public pages. Eateio reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on the Eateio platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software — is the property of Eateio or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations.
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its related systems.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the platform without our prior written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Harass, abuse, or harm any other user, restaurant partner, or Eateio employee.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. Eateio does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Eateio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if Eateio has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Thessaloniki, Greece.
14. Changes to These Terms
